Dawne, owner and proprietor of Dawning Tranquility Esthetics, began her career in the beauty industry over twenty years ago as a consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. It was during her time with Mary Kay that she fell in love with the power to transform one’s self image and esteem through skincare and makeup. This newly awakened passion led Dawn to enroll in Yvonne de Vilar Scientific Skin Care in Vienna, Virginia. Upon receiving her esthetic certification in 2005, Dawne began servicing clients at the formally known Skin Beauty Lounge on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Having established a growing and committed clientele, Dawne embarked on her entrepreneurial journey and open Dawning Tranquility in 2008.
Dawn attributes the success of Dawning Tranquility Esthetics to her tenacity, her passion for helping people, and her continuing education in skincare techniques, technologies and products. She has completed advanced studies with respected industry leaders, including the International Dermal Institute, PCA Skin, Bioelements and Aveda. In 2018, Dawne became a master esthetician, nationally recognized among an elite group of specialists through the National Coalition of Esthetics, Manufactures and Associations. With her extensive knowledge of esthetics, health and wellness, Dawn believes in educating clients on how to create healthy lifestyles and habits, and how to avoid media propaganda, both of which are essential to superior skin care and wellness.
